The new chair was also a huge improvement, but not to the extent of a good bed. I would say my trident mattress fix my problems, because the backpain literally went away within the week. I don't know exactly how much each of these things helped as I did them all around the same time when I wasn't as productive as I wanted to be and didn't feel as good as I wanted to. I got one by Trident bed company, but I’m sure you can find others. These beds are specifically for backpain, like a temperpedic, but more for backpain. You spend just as much time in the office as you sleep for most people so it made sense to me. I also replaced my old mattress with a backpain mattress off of a suggestion someone else made here sometime ago. Make sure you’re not slouching and that you sit upright. If you already did an ergonomic assessment then you probably have good chair and all the ergonomic goodies, I got a new office chair that helped. I also exercise four times a week for an hour each, lifting weights.

Every 4th break or sooner if I need, I take a longer 10-15 minute break. I usually focus for 25 minutes, then get up for a 5 minute stretch, and move around a bit.

It helps me with productivity, back pain, and is generally a good idea, we’re not made to sit all day. Sounds like you already know the importance to move around. I spend my entire day at a desk also and I used to have backpain that is similar to what you’re describing, but not anymore.
